Hilden / Cologne in February 2020. Once again this year, WENKO-Wenselaar GmbH & Co. KG from Hilden convinced the international trade public with the better idea at the consumer goods fair Ambiente - and that with 525 innovations, of which 225 were granted property rights are.
WENKO was the first supplier worldwide to present shower rods with integrated LED lighting as an absolute top innovation for bathrooms and showers. The stylish designer shower rods made of satined plastic have internal, full-surface lighting and thus ensure a cozy, feel-good atmosphere even in the darkest bathroom.
The new, extensive range of shower heads with special functions such as self-cleaning nozzles against limescale deposits or water-saving versions, which save up to 40% water with 100% comfort, also attracted great attention - protecting the wallet and the environment.
Speaking of the environment - WENKO presented a selection of its sustainable products for the bathroom, kitchen, laundry and living in a special area. These come from gentle resources or can be recycled thanks to their recyclability. The fact that WENKO not only serves a trend but also sees sustainability and environmental awareness under the motto "We care for tomorrow" as a central theme of its corporate responsibility was also demonstrated at the trade fair gift. In addition to a corporate brochure on the topic of sustainability at WENKO, visitors were given a shopping bag and a jar of WENKO honey. Since 2019, WENKO has been home to three bee colonies, which a voluntary project group of employees is taking care of.
“The response to this year's trade fair appearance and our new products in 2020 was consistently positive, which we are very pleased about. We were particularly impressed with our unique LED shower bar and of course our range of shower heads. Our new 'Fasten without drilling series Orea' with the unique adhesive system Turbo-Loc® for the bathroom area also met with great interest. And our new accessories for the kitchen, bathroom and living area in the trendy color black were also well received. Of course we are very happy if we can serve trends, zeitgeist and our customers' needs so accurately, ”summarizes WENKO Managing Director Niklas Köllner.
As a result of the trade fair, the company takes a lot of praise and encouragement, along with numerous orders, with the knowledge that sustainable products are justifiably more and more important.
