WENKO Is “Best Trainer 2025”

WENKO has been honored as “Best Trainer 2025” by the business magazine Capital in collaboration with the HR experts at Ausbildung.de. For the ninth time, Capital identified Germany’s top training companies as part of its major training study. Around 500 companies participated, representing a total of 2.3 million employees, approximately 80,000 trainees, and more than 15,000 dual-study students. A total of 372 companies achieved a four- or five-star rating – and WENKO is one of them.

The study highlights the significant transformation taking place in the training market. Many companies are now increasingly using social media to attract young talent. However, alongside modern recruiting methods, quality, structure, and personal support remain the key factors for successful vocational training – aspects that have been central to WENKO’s approach for many years.

During their training, our apprentices rotate through up to 20 different departments, gaining comprehensive insights into company processes. They are closely supported by experienced training supervisors and regularly receive guidance through feedback meetings. The theoretical part of the training is taught at vocational school on two days per week. In addition, we prepare our junior staff intensively for their final examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) through internal and external training sessions.

Our clear goal is to offer our trainees permanent employment after they successfully complete their training. In many cases, onboarding for their future target position begins several months before the end of the apprenticeship to ensure a smooth transition into professional life.

Even after completing their training, we continue to support further development through a structured personnel development concept with a wide range of continuing education opportunities – including part-time degree programs that we financially support.

We view the “Best Trainer 2025” award as both confirmation of our commitment and motivation to continue offering young talents a well-founded, practice-oriented, and future-focused vocational training program.
